Pre - K class

Our Pre-K Class has a student to teacher ratio of 6:1.  It meets five days a week from 9am to 12pm.
Students may elect to attend three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) with the option to transition to five days a week.

Four Year Olds have the option of staying for "Lunch Bunch" on Mondays and Wednesdays for an additional cost.

Daily activities in the class include indoor free play, outdoor free play (weather permitting), snack time, and center time.  The class also attends Music and Movement and Chapel weekly.

Available centers include math/manipulatives, art, language/writing, blocks, and home living, story time, and circle time. Teachers plan activities for the daily centers around the class Letter of the Week, Number of the Week (1-20), and Theme of the Week.  For example, a math center during "Farm" week may have the children sorting and counting farm animals.  The children may also create a pattern using farm animal counters.  Graphing the animals might be another activity.

Our main goal is to prepare the children for Kindergarten through fun, interesting, and meaningful learning experiences.  Children learn at different paces and from different types of activities.  We recognize this and work to give each child what they need to learn and grow.
