History

In 1989 several members of Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church came to believe that the church could serve the community by opening a preschool as part of its ministry.  A task force was formed to put together a proposal to present to the church council for approval.

In 1991, Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Preschool opened its doors, using Sunday School classrooms on the second floor of the church.

In 1998, the church completed an addition that included the current preschool facilities.

In 2001, Colleen Ferris became director of the preschool.  Colleen had previously been a member of the task force that proposed the creation of the preschool and a member of the preschool's board of Directors.
