Toddlers and Twos

Our Toddlers and Twos class has a maximum student to teacher ratio of 5:1. It meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9am to 12pm.

Daily activities include indoor free play, outdoor free play (weather permitting), snack time, quiet time,  and group time.   Once the teachers feel that they are ready, they also join the other classes for weekly Chapel

Art centers are planned around a developmentally appropriate theme  (such as Circles, Squares, Teddy Bears), Shape of the Month, and Color of the Month.  Students explore different forms of art such as drawing, painting, stamping, collage, play dough, using scissors. Students develop different motor skills and learn about colors, shapes, and the week's theme while having fun and expressing themselves creatively.

The goals for this class include learning about number concepts, and recognizing basic shapes, colors, letters, numbers, and the child's own name.

Through our active learning curriculum, students will learn while developing fine motor skills, making friends, learning to listen, learning to share, learning to work within an expanded social group, and having fun!
